Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using the app.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Job Alert (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The App is published by Appers Systems (“we”, “us”, “our”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of service

Job Alert is an Android application, free to download, that aggregates and displays job listings sourced from a third-party service which indexes employer career sites and job boards. The App allows you to:

  • Search and browse job listings by keyword, role, and location across 62 countries
  • Filter results by remote or onsite work type
  • Save and bookmark job listings for later review
  • Set personal job preferences that shape a tailored job feed
  • Share job listings with others
  • Open the original posting on the employer’s own website to apply there

The App requires no account and no sign-up. Nothing you save is submitted to us or to an employer.

3. Job listings disclaimer

Important: job listings in the App are aggregated from a third-party service and provided for informational purposes only.

  • Appers Systems does not post, create, verify, or endorse any job listing.
  • We do not own the listings. Listing content belongs to the respective employers or to the third-party data provider.
  • We make no promise regarding the accuracy, completeness, availability, or legitimacy of any posting.
  • Job availability may change without warning — a listed position may already be filled or withdrawn before the aggregation service drops it from its index. Always check the employer’s own listing before applying.
  • We are not a recruitment agency and do not act as an intermediary between job seekers and employers.
  • We are not responsible for the hiring decisions, conduct, or practices of any employer appearing in the App.

Always exercise caution and conduct your own due diligence before applying to any position.

4. What the App does not do

Job Alert does not apply to jobs for you. It does not submit an application, a CV, a resume, or any other document to an employer, and it never contacts an employer as you. Tapping through to a listing opens the employer’s own posting in your browser, and every step after that is yours.

Because the App is not part of that exchange, it also cannot track applications — it has no way to see whether an employer opened, progressed, or rejected anything you sent, and it cannot report a status back to you.

5. User responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

  • Use the App for lawful purposes only
  • Not scrape, copy, or reproduce job listings for commercial purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
  • Not use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers
  • Provide accurate information in any feedback or support message you send us

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and assets within the App, excluding third-party job listings, are the property of Appers Systems and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

Job listing content is owned by the respective employers or third-party data providers. We claim no ownership over job listings displayed in the App.

7. Third-party links and services

The App may contain links to external websites, such as employer sites and application portals. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them.

Opening a listing redirects you to the employer’s external website. Your interaction with that site is governed by their own privacy policy and terms.

8. Advertising

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads are provided by third-party advertisers and we are not responsible for their content. Ad targeting is managed by Google in accordance with their advertising policies. Where required by law, Google’s consent form is shown before personalized ads are requested.

9. Free tier and premium

The App can be used without paying. On the free tier:

  • you can run 3 searches per day, with the counter resetting daily;
  • you can keep 5 saved jobs at a time — remove one to make room for another;
  • the remote-only filter is a premium feature;
  • ads are shown.

A premium purchase lifts those limits and removes ads. Premium is sold through Google Play Billing; the price, term, and renewal behavior are presented by Google Play at the point of purchase, and payment, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Google Play under its terms. We may change what the free tier includes; if we do, the change applies going forward and is reflected on this page.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appers Systems shall not be liable for:

  • any inaccurate, outdated, or fraudulent job listing
  • any loss of employment opportunity or career damage
  • any damages arising from reliance on App content
  • interruption, errors, or unavailability of the App or its data
  • any action taken by an employer as a result of your application

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the App or of the listing data it displays.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand our data practices. If you want your data removed, see Delete your data.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the App at any time, with or without warning, if we believe these Terms have been violated. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

13. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan, where Appers Systems is established.
